Privacy Policy
Curated for Seniors (https://curatedforseniors.com) is a small independent site. This page lists, in plain words, what information the site collects, which outside tools handle it, and the choices you have.
1. What I collect
You do not need an account to use this site. I do not ask for your name, address or payment details. Information reaches me or my tools in these ways:
- Hosting logs. The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, it records technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time.
- Analytics. Google Analytics 4 runs on this site. Details are in section 3.
- Newsletter sign-up. If you subscribe, you give your email address to Kit, the service I use to send the newsletter. Details are in section 4.
- Preferences on your device. The reading tools (text size, high contrast and reading speed) save your choices in your own browser. They are not sent to me or to anyone else.
2. Cookies
Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart. Affiliate networks can set their own cookies after you click one of my links, so they can credit a purchase. This site does not currently show a cookie consent banner. Google Analytics loads automatically, and the options at the end of section 3 explain how to avoid it.
3. Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is active on this site. It collects page views, how long visits last, which links are clicked, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. Google Analytics 4 uses IP addresses to work out your approximate location and does not log or store them. Google's use of the data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. To opt out, use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or a content blocker.
4. Newsletter
If you subscribe, the form sends your email address to Kit, which stores it and sends the newsletter. I use the address only to send you the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask me to remove you at the address below.
5. Affiliate links and other sites
Curated for Seniors is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. When you click an affiliate link and buy something, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. I take part in other affiliate programs too. See the affiliate disclosure for how this works.
Once you leave this site, the other site's own privacy policy applies. I have no control over how it collects or uses your data.
6. How I use information
- To understand how visitors use the site so I can improve content and navigation
- To find and fix technical problems
- To send the newsletter to people who asked for it
- To meet legal obligations
I do not sell or rent your personal information.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
This site has no separate Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control handling for Google Analytics. The Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on linked in section 3 is an option for limiting Google Analytics collection.
8. Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given me personal information, contact me and I will delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may be able to:
- Ask what personal data I hold about you
- Ask me to correct or delete it
- Opt out of non-essential data collection

10. Changes to this policy
I will update this page if the site's tools or practices change. The "Last updated" date at the bottom shows when it last changed.
