How I choose
A short page that says what stands behind a recommendation, and what does not.
Three questions every pick has to pass
- Is it easy to use? Clear controls and simple setup beat clever features.
- Is it well made? Quality that holds up past the first month.
- Is it worth the price? Fair value for what you get.
What "researched" and "used" mean here
These two words are not interchangeable, so each has one meaning on this site.
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Researched | The pick was chosen from the product's own information, its instructions and independent sources. I have not used it myself. |
| Used | I have used the product myself. A page says so in words when this is true. |
Unless a page says otherwise, treat a pick as researched only. I do not claim hands-on testing for a product when I have not done it.
How money fits in
No brand pays to be included. I earn a commission when you buy through some of the links on this site, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. The full explanation is on the affiliate disclosure page.
How AI is used
AI tools support how this site is run. The decision about what to recommend is made by the person who runs the site, and a page is not published only because a tool produced it. There is more on the About page.
Health and safety pages
Pages about health or safety products give general information and are not medical advice. For anything involving a medical condition, a fall risk or a bed rail, ask a doctor or an occupational therapist first.
